The story about the bereaved golpista journalist Carol Cabrera just keeps getting more absurd and tragic. When her 8-months pregnant 16-year-old daughter was assassinated by a soccer gang last December, she and Micheletti immediately went all over the national and international media claiming it was done by the resistance assassins (even his own police force had to shut him up). Micheletti did that mostly, I suspect, to take away from media attention of Walter Tróchez's assassination, carried out by his forces. Now Cabrera's herself was shot at (and again, without a shred of evidence, she claims by the resistance), but another young journalist who was in the car with her was killed and his parents are claiming that Cabrera plotted and contracted his assassination. Of course with all the assassinated resistance leaders Llorens could have mentioned, he focuses on Cabrera's suffering in his teensy weensy acknowledgement (only in Spanish, as far as I've seen) of human rights violations—which is not really an acknowledgment at all, since he alludes to them instead as crimes.
