October has arrived and gone is the possibility of a prompt solution to the current crisis. At this point, even if Zelaya returns to the presidency, the resistance will not be able to accept the San José accord because the elections, so touted by the dictatorship as a solution to the conflict, will provide no assurance of transparency and equality of circumstances to our candidates who during more than three months have struggled together with the people for their political rights. The restitution of President Zelaya in these conditions will only play the game of the oligarchic groups that finance and maintain Micheletti´s fascist regime.

The electoral machinery is now unchangeable and the results are more or less defined. In accordance with a pact with the National Party, which under the direction of Ricardo Álvarez was key in the execution of the coup, Pepe Lobo appears to be a sure winner. Undoubtedly, among the election results will appear hundreds of thousands of votes of Hondurans who reject this electoral farce. Undoubtedly they are negotiating international recognition by the continent´s right-wing governments, those that have already shown sympathy for the regime and surely, because it won´t be possible any other way, they will make use of all the repressive means against the popular sectors in order to consolidate the governmental transition.

The dictatorship now understands, and so does the resistance, that the only thing that could resolve the profound division between the country´s distinct sectors is a national constitutional assembly, popular and democratic, in which a consensus is reached on a new desired nation, one which would guarantee real conditions for a real democracy, in favor of the development of all citizens and not only of the small class which has been managing the country is if it were their own private property.

However, the oligarchy seeks to impede that struggle. It´s no accident that, accompanied by the decreed State of Siege imposed last Sunday by the dictatorship and with the principle aim of demobilizing the resistance and isolating President Zelaya from his people, the plan Facussé was presented. It is a proposal that turns out to be a mocking insult to the popular organizations and to President Zelaya himself. It proposes, among other things, the creation of the position of congressman-for-life for Micheletti (a pathetic imitation of Pinochet´s self-decreed senator-for-life) and the “temporary” restitution of Manuel Zelaya to the presidency “for perhaps 15 minutes”, with the obligation to delegate power to another person who surely would be named by the dominant caste and who would then define the new cabinet.

Among the absurdities proposed by Facussé, in a desperate attempt to recover his USAmerican visa, without losing control of the state/booty he is defending, while cleansing the coup, and assuring international recognition of the elections in November, is a call for an international military force composed of right-wing governments: Canada, Colombia and Panama.

This last proposal, aside from being ridiculous, would have us believe that in Honduras there exists an equality of military force or that the resistance poses a danger to the Armed Forces and the Police, and seeks to transfer the cost of a national occupation to those countries which are “friends” of the regime. Honduras is already an occupied country, to understand this all you have to do is tour the city, its markets and in particular its barrios where police patrol operatives are frequent, or go to one of the marches cordoned off by police and military agents who impede the movement of the resistance.

Until now the costs of this military occupation have been covered by the dominant class, and a few disinterested contributions from the international ultra-right and economic groups linked to dark interests in the region. The call by Facussé for an international force is not at all the same as the other request by sectors of the resistance who call for the presence of the blue-helmets [UN peace keepers] considering the vulnerability when faced with a trained army, willing to torture and repress the unarmed population.

On another note, turning to the theme of censorship, it has become exhausting trying to find information about what is happening in the country. Following the closure of the media stations used by the resistance, Radio Globo and Channel 36, we are pushed to use digital media. Just yesterday the web page of radioglobohonduras.com announced almost half a million listeners around the world, more than 100,000 at the national level, attentive to the messages disseminated by the hosts who from a semi-clandestine location continue mocking the censorship, transmitting information about what is going on Honduras. Alongside Radio Globo have appeared blogs, chats and other pages who in solidarity have put their platforms at the disposition of the Honduran resistance, acting against the violation of the right of the Honduran people to know what´s going on in their own country.

But internet is not enough. We have not managed in these new circumstances to escape entirely the media fence in order to reach the population in general, the barrios, the villages, all the Hondurans who, like us, have a right to know the truth about what we are living. This is a pending task. The written press, radio stations and television stations belonging to the oligarchy have begun to mention the crisis, but they repeat again and again that the conflict is ending, that the resistance has calmed down and that the whole world is recovering from its “unjust and intransigent” position of condemning the ¨constitutional succession.¨

About 2 months ago I remember having heard the clandestine transmission of Radio Morazán Vive on 90.1 FM. I haven´t heard any more from them and do not know if they continue to transmit. At any rate, facing this ideological monoculture that the dictatorship is trying to cultivate, it becomes not only necessary, but urgent, the initiation of a resistance struggle in the radio frequencies. They have the weapons, but creativity is ours.

Octubre ha llegado y con él se fue la posibilidad de una pronta solución de la crisis actual. A estas alturas, aunque vuelva Zelaya a la presidencia, la resistencia no podrá aceptar el plan San José en la medida que las elecciones, tan llevadas y traídas por la dictadura como solución al conflicto, no darán garantía de la transparencia e igualdad de circunstancias a nuestros candidatos que durante más de tres meses han luchado junto al pueblo por sus derechos políticos. Una restitución del Presidente Zelaya en estas condiciones no hará sino jugar el juego de los grupos oligarcas que financian y mantienen el régimen fascista de Micheletti.

La maquinaria electoral está cerrada y los resultados más o menos definidos. Dentro de este acuerdo con el Partido Nacional, quien bajo la dirección de Ricardo Álvarez resultó clave para la ejecución del golpe de estado, Pepe Lobo se perfila como seguro ganador. Seguramente harán aparecer en los resultados cientos de miles de votos de hondureños y hondureñas que rechazamos la farsa electoral, seguramente están negociando el reconocimiento internacional por parte de los gobierno de derecha del continente, los que desde ya han dado aviso de simpatía para el régimen y seguramente, porque de otra forma no será posible, harán uso de toda la estructura represiva en contra de los sectores populares para consolidar la transición de gobierno.

La dictadura tiene claro ahora e igual lo tiene la resistencia, que lo único que podrá solucionar la profunda división entre los distintos sectores del país es una asamblea nacional constituyente, popular y democrática, en donde se consensúe un nuevo proyecto de nación que garantice condiciones reales para una verdadera democracia en busca de un desarrollo de todos y todas y no únicamente de la pequeña clase que ha manejado el país como su propiedad privada.

Sin embargo, la oligarquía busca obstaculizar desde ya esa lucha. No es casual que acompañado por el decreto de Estado de Sitio impuesto el pasado domingo por la dictadura, con el único fin de desmovilizar la resistencia y aislar al Presidente Zelaya de su pueblo, venga el plan Facussé, una propuesta que resulta una burla para las organizaciones populares y el mismo presidente Zelaya pues propone, entre otras cosas, la creación de la figura del diputado vitalicio para Micheletti (cual remedo patético de la auto decretada Senadoría vitalicia de Pinochet) y la restitución “temporal” de Manuel Zelaya a la presidencia, “por unos quince minutos”, con el compromiso de delegar el poder a otra persona que seguramente será nombrada por la casta dominante y quien a su vez definiría el nuevo gabinete.

Dentro de las ridiculeces propuestas por Facusse, en un intento desesperado por recuperar su visa usamericana, sin perder el control del estado/botín que tanto defienden, lavando el golpe de estado asegurándose el reconocimiento internacional de las elecciones del próximo noviembre, está el llamado para una fuerza militar internacional compuesto por gobiernos de derecha: Canadá, Colombia, Panamá.

Esta última propuesta, a parte de ridícula pues hace creer que en Honduras existe igualdad de fuerza militar o que la resistencia es un peligro en contra de la Fuerza Armada y la Policía, busca al final trasladar el costo de la ocupación nacional a los países “amigos” del régimen. Honduras ya es un país ocupado, basta para convencerse con recorrer la ciudad, sus mercados y en especial sus barrios en donde los operativos de patrullaje son frecuentes, o ir a una de las marchas en donde cercados por elementos policiales y militares impiden cualquier movimiento de la resistencia.

Hasta el momento los costos de esa ocupación militar han sido cubiertos por la clase dominante, más algún que otro desinteresado aporte de la ultraderecha internacional y grupos económicos ligados a intereses oscuros dentro de la región. No es lo mismo la solicitud de una fuerza internacional hecha por Facusse, a la otra solicitud, en la cual sectores de la resistencia llaman a la presencia de los cascos azules ante la indefensión con que se encuentran frente a un ejercito capacitado, entrenado y dispuesto a torturar y reprimir a la población desarmada.

Por otro lado y pasando al tema de la censura, en la actualidad resulta sumamente agotador encontrar información sobre lo que pasa en el país. Luego del cierre de los medios de comunicación de la resistencia, Radio Globo y canal 36, nos hemos visto forzados a pasar al digital. Sólo el día de ayer la página de radioglobohonduras.com anunciaba cerca de medio millón de escuchas al rededor del mundo, más de cien mil a nivel nacional, atentos a los mensajes difundidos por los locutores que desde una semi clandestinidad siguen burlando la censura para sacar información sobre lo que pasa en Honduras. Junto a la página de radio globo se han sumado blogs, chats y otras páginas solidarias que han puesto su plataforma a disposición de la resistencia hondureña y en contra de la violación del derecho del pueblo hondureño de saber lo que pasa en su propio país.

Pero el internet aun no nos es suficiente. No hemos logrado burlar el cerco del latfundio mediático en las nuevas circunstancias y llegar a la población en general, a los barrios, a las aldeas, a todos aquellos hondureños y hondureñas que al igual que nosotros tiene derecho de conocer la verdad de lo que vivimos es aun una tarea pendiente. La prensa escrita, radio emisoras y los canales de televisión de la oligarquía han comenzado a hablar de la crisis, pero repiten una y otra vez que el conflicto está llegando a su fin, que la resistencia se ha calmado y el mundo entero está recapacitando en su postura “injusta e intransigente” de condenar su sucesión constitucional.

Hace cerca de dos meses recuerdo haber escuchado la transmisión clandestina de radio Morazán Vive en la 90.1 FM. No he sabido nada de ellos en la actualidad o de si siguen transmitiendo. Sin embargo, ante el monocultivo ideológico que pretende sembrar la dictadura, no sólo es un necesidad, se vuelve una urgencia, comenzar la lucha de resistencia en el plano las frecuencia radiofónicas. Ellos tienen las armas, pero la creatividad es nuestra.
