Another Bloody Bananas Coup

Chiquita, true to form, has strongly supported coup leaders, as reported by Nikolas Kozloff in CounterPunch. The National Front Against the Coup d'Etat has called for a boycott of everything coup-related. Although I've recently put forth my doubts regarding the effectiveness of boycotts-qua-boycotts, being a neoliberal strategy aggregating individual (vs. collective) actions and centered around consumer "power", I still see the mobilization that occurs around them as potentially useful direct action. And you have to love a slogan like:

SOLO LA UNIDAD MUNDIAL DE LA CLASE OBRERA DERROTARA EL EXPERIMENTO FASCISTA EN HONDURAS
(ONLY GLOBAL UNITY OF THE WORKING CLASS WILL OVERTHROW THE FASCIST EXPERIMENT IN HONDURAS)

The site dedicated to the boycott has posters in different languages. Sadly, the Arabic letters don't connect- I was all excited about sending that off to friends in Cairo (although I don't recall Chiquita doing much business there). Their most important instruction:

5) Go to Chiquita's website and send them the following message:

I DON’T BUY CHIQUITA BECAUSE IT SUPPORTS COUP DE ETAT IN HONDURAS
